About the Role In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for disseminating general Office of Personnel Management (OPM) healthcare enrollment information to callers, providing guidance on enrollment procedures, and referring customers to other agencies as needed. You will utilize standard technology such as soft telephones, email, chat, and web browsers to perform your duties, and follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in your interactions with customers. Key Responsibilities: Provide knowledgeable and courteous responses to telephone, email, and chat inquiries, addressing customers' questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner Utilize standard technology to perform job duties, including telephone, email, and web browser Assist callers with locating information needed to make informed decisions about their healthcare plans Refer calls to other agencies as specified in training and work instruction documents Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OPM regulations and policies as they apply to healthcare enrollment Report problems that occur via the online system, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing delays Respond to telephone, email, and chat inquiries within established departmental staffing and time parameters Perform light data entry and clerical duties as defined in training and work instruction documents May be required to work scheduled holidays, with overtime possible during peak periods Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required, demonstrating a foundation in basic education and skills Minimum six (6) months customer service experience required, with a proven track record of providing excellent support to customers Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to type a minimum of 20 WPM, with accurate and efficient data entry skills Ability to effectively work within established contractual turnaround times, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work as a member of a team and manage simultaneous tasks Experience working with a PC and a Windows environment is required, with basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications Must pass a Federal Public Trust Background Investigation, demonstrating a high level of integrity and trustworthiness Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded: Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices Knowledge of healthcare enrollment procedures and regulations, with a keen interest in the healthcare industry Experience working with OPM or other government agencies, with a strong understanding of their policies and procedures Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a fair and timely manner Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Basic computer skills, with familiarity with software applications and technology Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Career Growth Opportunities: At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
