Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the financial records of two businesses: a professional services entity and a commercial building management company Assist in getting the accounting up to date for 2024, including processing transactions and reconciliations Invoice tenants for CAM charges on a timely basis Account for construction costs in 2024 and 2025 related to the commercial building renovation Perform monthly bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making Essential Qualifications 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, preferably in a remote or virtual setting Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our team Preferred Qualifications Experience working with commercial property management or construction accounting Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to commercial property management Certifications, such as QuickBooks Certified User or Certified Bookkeeper, are a plus Experience with financial planning and budgeting, including forecasting and financial analysis Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of technical, business, and soft skills.
