Job Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant Instructor will be responsible for teaching classes, preparing lesson plans, and assessing student performance in a variety of educational settings, including classrooms, labs, clinical, and online environments. Key Responsibilities Instruct classes as assigned, utilizing instructional plans and approved student material to ensure effective learning outcomes Prepare for classes by organizing and becoming familiar with student material, preparing lesson plans, and supplementing approved student material as required Objectively assess students for academic performance, providing regular and constructive feedback through approved channels Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting the example and being the role model for professionalism and conduct Proactively inform the Program Director of any student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns for retention management Appropriately maintain student records, grades, and attendance to ensure accuracy and compliance with published policies Facilitate tutoring and makeup work as needed, ensuring and monitoring student participation and referring students to the Program Director and/or Academic Dean as necessary Essential Qualifications Must be licensed or regulated in any United States jurisdiction as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Must have a minimum of an associate degree in a related field Must have a minimum of four years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy Must demonstrate contemporary expertise in assigned teaching areas and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and student evaluation Preferred Qualifications Experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching in a healthcare or educational setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced educational environment Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices, and techniques Ability to design and deliver effective instructional materials and presentations Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to students Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals Strong commitment to student satisfaction, academic excellence, and the core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Concorde Career Colleges, we are committed to the professional development and growth of our faculty and staff.
