Key Responsibilities Teach online physics courses as assigned, ensuring that course content is delivered in accordance with the college's curriculum and standards. Develop and maintain online course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments. Interact with students through online platforms, providing guidance, support, and feedback to enhance their learning experience. Assess student performance and maintain accurate records of student progress. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the physics program. Stay current with developments in the field of physics and incorporate relevant topics into course content. Abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies, ensuring compliance with institutional standards. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in physics or a related field, or a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in physics. Master's degree in engineering with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework related to physics concepts and course learning outcomes may be considered. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in physics. Previous experience in online teaching, preferably in physics or a related field. Certifications in online teaching or related areas are highly desirable. Essential Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of physics concepts and principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to design and deliver engaging online courses. Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and tools. Strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
