**Experienced Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist - REMOTE 1st SHIFT**

As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, referral sources, and employees, providing support and guidance on patient care and third-party reimbursement. Your primary responsibilities will include: **Key Responsibilities:** * Providing exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and employees through phone, email, and in-person interactions * Collecting co-pays and deductible amounts, conducting insurance verification and eligibility for services/products, and processing new orders * Conducting patient satisfaction calls and acting as a patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns * Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of current products and services, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines * Maintaining accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data entry * Managing all aspects of initial intake, including answering phone calls, receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, and inputting data into our proprietary system * Obtaining authorization and qualification documentation, preparing complete and accurate files for the Billing Department, and processing work orders to field locations * Providing product/service information and education to patients and referral sources, and responding to questions and resolving issues in a timely manner * Performing other duties as assigned, including reviewing and Quality Assurance for medical necessity and documentation requirements of payors and regulatory bodies **Qualifications:** * High school diploma or GED equivalent required * One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment, preferably in the medical field and administrative record management * Strong customer service background and excellent communication skills * Ability to effectively communicate in English, both oral and written, and interpret a variety of communications in English (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual) * Knowledge of medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement * Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information * Medical terminology and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail and self-motivation * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a sense of urgency and responsiveness to physicians, location employees, and patients **Benefits:** * Generous paid time off and paid holidays * Overtime pay for non-exempt hourly positions based on business needs * Commission for Account Executives * Fixed and variable rate car reimbursement for Area Managers and Account Executives * Employee discount program * Employee recognition program * Bonus and incentive opportunities * Mileage reimbursement (when applicable for the position) * Telephone reimbursement (when applicable for the position) * EAP * 401k * Medical, Prescription, Dental, and Vision * HSA and FSA/Dependent Care FSA * Life Insurance, Disability, Accidental death, Identity protection, and Legal services * Meru Health Mental health and Mercer SmartConnect Medicare programs * Livongo Diabetes and High Blood Pressure programs * Healthcare Bluebook and RX Savings solutions programs * HEPB and TB vaccinations **Work Environment and Company Culture:** * 100% remote work from home, with a flexible schedule and the ability to work independently * Collaborative and dynamic team environment, with opportunities for growth and development * Blithequark is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace **How to Apply:** If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in the medical field, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
