Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Adjunct Faculty member to teach Mathematics at our Amarillo campus. Key Responsibilities Teach Mathematics courses using engaging and effective instructional methods and techniques Develop and implement lesson plans that promote student involvement and application of mathematical concepts Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic success Participate in course and curriculum development, revision, and evaluation to ensure relevance and effectiveness Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance and academic performance Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and institutional goals Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements: Master's Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics Experience in teaching or tutoring Mathematics, with a preference for experience in higher education Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community members from diverse backgrounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to new technologies and instructional methods Preferred Qualifications Experience in teaching Mathematics in a higher education setting Familiarity with learner-centered and high-impact instructional methods Proficiency in computer operation, multimedia classroom instruction software, and willingness to learn new technologies Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and principles Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner Effective classroom management and instructional skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Career Growth and Development Amarillo College is committed to the growth and development of our employees.
