Genetic Counseling Assistant

Description: Support genetic counseling services to patients for the genetic tests offered by Vitrolife Group, especially for preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic disorders (PGT-M) and preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A). Help coordinate the genetic testing process among genetic counselors, laboratory locations, and administrators within Vitrolife Group. Facilitate communication between Vitrolife Group genetic counselors and our client health care providers. Work in the genetic counseling department alongside other genetic counseling assistants and genetic counselors. Provide patient support throughout their reproductive journey and help reduce barriers to building a family. Take on additional opportunities depending on interest and performance. Requirements: Bachelor s degree in biology or related field preferred. Minimum of two years employment commitment. Empathy, patience, and respect for patients and their situations. Superior writing ability, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and professionalism. Willingness to change and adapt to the evolving needs of a company. Ability to communicate effectively with both health care providers and patients. Ability to work independently and efficiently, and excellent skills for teamwork and collaboration. Interest in a career path in genetic counseling and/or infertility/ART. Proficiency with Microsoft, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Must be eligible to work in the United States (employment verification required). Successful background check required.
