About Our Team We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Life Events Advisor to join our Vulnerability, Inclusion, Accessibility & Bereavement team. As a Life Events Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our vulnerable customers, handling bereavements, and providing guidance on third-party access. If you have a strong background in bereavement support and experience working with vulnerable customers, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities As a Life Events Advisor at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: Communicating directly with next of kin and third parties following the disclosure of a bereavement or terminal illness via email, chat, and calls Managing bereavements and third-party access cases, taking ownership and supporting customers with formal and informal third-party access, such as Power of Attorney Supporting customers who are currently in custody or incarcerated Dealing with internal escalations and working closely with other domains in customer operations Communicating with the leadership team to share opportunities, identify risks and concerns, and provide feedback to improve the support we offer to our customers Meeting targets while receiving and providing continuous feedback Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: Previous experience supporting customers dealing with grief, bereavements, or major life events A strong track record of working with vulnerable customers or a robust understanding of bereavement support within the financial sector Experience in managing probate-related disclosures and enquiries Excellent communication skills, particularly over the telephone Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Experience working in a similar role within the financial services industry Knowledge of bereavement support and third-party access processes Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and competencies: Empathy and understanding when dealing with vulnerable customers Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively Career Growth and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers. Logistics This role is fully remote in the UK, and you must be permanently based in the UK to apply. The start date for this role will be Monday, 10th November 2025. Training will be Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30, for 10 weeks, and this will be carried out remotely.
