Job Overview The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing professional and convenient first and second-level technical support to blithequark crewmembers. This will involve resolving technical issues, answering queries, and ensuring that all crewmembers have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in IT support, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for all blithequark equipment and applications, including communication and mobile devices Deliver excellent on-site and remote customer service to blithequark crewmembers Coordinate the resolution of incidents and requests from start to finish, working with internal and external resources as needed Monitor and maintain systems, ensuring that all crewmembers have access to the necessary tools and resources Collaborate with all IT disciplines to achieve first-contact resolution for all issues Maintain accurate documentation of requests and updates to the knowledge base Participate in software package rollouts and support, and provide training to crewmembers as needed Respond to significant incidents and outages, ensuring that all crewmembers are informed and supported Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will need to have: A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate Experience supporting the latest operating systems, or successful completion of an IT certification program Experience implementing and supporting applications, with a strong understanding of IT principles and practices Availability for short-term travel (up to 50%) and possession of valid travel documents, with the ability to travel to and from Jamaica and the US Ability to obtain a valid visa to travel to the US, if required Experience using desktop support packages and tools, with a strong understanding of IT service management principles Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and support Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications and experience would be highly desirable: Certifications in IT, such as Microsoft, networking, or programming languages Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server products, with experience supporting and implementing these systems Understanding of Exchange and Office Suite, with experience supporting and troubleshooting these applications Knowledge of LAN environments using TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, with experience supporting and implementing these systems Understanding of communication, messaging, and telephony systems (VOIP and POTS), with experience supporting and implementing these systems Knowledge of mobile devices, with experience supporting and implementing mobile device management solutions Experience with MDM solutions, such as Workspace ONE and Microsoft Intune, with a strong understanding of mobile device management principles Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our crewmembers.
