As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of the insurance industry. Key Responsibilities Handle property & casualty insurance-related customer service and billing inquiries via telephone, email, and direct mail. Provide customers with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium. Review and update policies to enhance retention and better meet customer needs. Counsel policyholders on appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws to ensure sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance. Make recommendations and/or changes to policies and gain policyholder acceptance to process changes. Document all activity in EPIC, including changes to policies, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling. Utilize knowledge of insurance industry and blithequark's insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service. Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms, and act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies. Process changes to policies within EPIC and submit changes to specific companies, following up to ensure timely processing. Review policy information and reference company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims. Recognize cross-sell opportunities and obtain quote information. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed as an Insurance Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment. A Property and Casualty insurance license (required). A Membership license (preferred) or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. A customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
