Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As a Property and Casualty insurance expert, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing personalized support to our policyholders via telephone, email, and other communication channels. This is a unique opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, with a flexible schedule that includes rotating Saturdays. Key Responsibilities Contact policyholders to review and update policies, ensuring that their needs are met and that they have sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance. Provide quotes, counsel policyholders on coverage options, and make recommendations to enhance retention and better meet their needs. Receive and respond to calls and emails, documenting all activity in our EPIC system and utilizing knowledge of insurance industry policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service. Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms, and act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies. Process changes to policies, submit changes to specific companies, and follow up to ensure that change requests have been processed in a timely manner. Review policy information, reference company-specific claims procedures, and assist insured individuals in filing claims. Mail insured documentation, follow up to ensure timely return, and recognize cross-sell opportunities to obtain quote information. Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the arenaflex team. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment. A Property and Casualty insurance license, with a Membership license preferred or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide personalized support and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner. A strong knowledge of insurance industry policies and procedures, including Property and Casualty insurance principles and practices. Proficiency in using EPIC systems and other software applications to document activity and manage customer interactions. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment, with a proven ability to manage your time effectively and stay motivated in a self-directed setting. A strong understanding of insurance industry trends and developments, including changes in regulations and legislation that may impact our policyholders. Experience with cross-selling and upselling insurance products, with a focus on identifying opportunities to meet the evolving needs of our customers. A certification in insurance, such as a CPCU or ARM designation, demonstrating your commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
