As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for addressing questions/concerns and fielding correspondence requests primarily received via phone in a call center environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to successfully multitask and alternate between multiple programs. **Key Responsibilities** As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include: * Receiving and bringing to resolution up to 60 calls daily in a fun, fast-paced, metric-driven environment. * Interacting directly via phone with patients, affiliate partners, payers, and healthcare providers. * Collecting payments and/or providing guidance on payment options for outstanding balances. * Updating accounts with new or corrected information; requesting itemized statements &/or re-billing claims when appropriate. * Explaining medical bills and identifying deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and other patient financial responsibilities. * Utilizing analytical thinking for account research and reconciliation. * Managing all interactions in a positive, caring manner. * Performing specialized tasks as assigned by the manager and/or supervisor. **Requirements** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of 2 years' healthcare experience, preferably 2 years of medical billing and direct patient contact in a call center environment with exposure to insurance billing and medical terminology. * Technical proficiency. * Advanced verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Professional maturity and ability to exercise sound judgment. * Written/verbal fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: * Experience working in a call center environment. * Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. blithequark is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for its staff and visitors.
