Job Summary We're looking for a highly detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Operator to update and maintain information in our databases and computer systems. As a Data Entry Assistant at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in collecting and entering data into databases, maintaining accurate records of valuable company information, and working closely with our data team and data manager. Key Responsibilities Enter alphabetical and numerical data from source documents, comparing entered data to source documents, deleting incorrectly entered data, and re-entering correct data. Maintain accurate department files and documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible. Compose and type routine correspondence emails, demonstrating excellent written communication skills. Copy records as needed, and store closed order files in a secure and organized manner. Answer department phones, process calls, and forward and/or take messages, providing exceptional customer service. Perform data entry of orders (new and changed) and quotes, maintaining order files and checking the accuracy of purchase orders. Assist with customer files when necessary, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential. Perform all other duties and functions of the department as assigned or required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed as a Data Entry Assistant at arenaflex, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education. Previous experience in administrative functions in an office environment, entering data, and processing documentation, highlighting your ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Computer literacy, with the ability to use PC-based word processors to enter data into files and spreadsheets, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with employees at all levels. Strong English grammar and spelling skills, ensuring all documentation and communication is accurate and professional. The ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as comprehend departmental documentation and process it accurately. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered an advantage: Previous experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar position, demonstrating your expertise in data entry and administrative support. Familiarity with data management software and systems, highlighting your ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
