Job Overview In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls from customers, providing information on banking products, and resolving customer concerns in a professional and empathetic manner. As a key member of our team, you will be scheduled to work between 8 am - 8 pm, with a competitive hourly salary of $19 - $21. Our ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a call center or banking environment. Key Responsibilities Answer inbound calls from customers regarding their banking accounts, products, and services, providing accurate and timely information to address their inquiries. Assist customers with account inquiries, including balances, transactions, and statements, to ensure they have a clear understanding of their financial situation. Resolve customer concerns related to online banking, debit/credit cards, and transactions, escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate department or supervisor for further action. Provide information on bank products such as checking and savings accounts, loans, and credit cards, highlighting the benefits and features of each product to help customers make informed decisions. Process account updates, including address changes, stop payments, and new product enrollments, ensuring that customer information is accurate and up-to-date. Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while handling customer concerns, providing a positive and supportive experience for our banking customers. Meet or exceed call handling and customer satisfaction metrics, consistently delivering exceptional customer service and support. Accurately document customer interactions in the bank's system, ensuring that all customer information is recorded and easily accessible. Stay informed about bank policies, procedures, and regulations to provide accurate information and ensure compliance with industry standards. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a call center or banking environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues. A customer-centric mindset, with a passion for helping others and providing exceptional customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple calls and customer inquiries simultaneously. Basic software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems and technologies. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience working in a call center or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of call handling and customer satisfaction metrics. Knowledge of banking products and services, including online banking, debit/credit cards, and transactions. Typing skills, with the ability to accurately and efficiently document customer interactions. Empathy and active listening skills, with the ability to understand and address customer concerns in a professional and supportive manner.
