Key Responsibilities Provide small group instruction to ELLs, tailoring your teaching to meet the diverse needs of our students. Collaborate with the ESL Coordinator and EL Curriculum Specialist to identify educational needs and develop effective instructional strategies. Confer with regular classroom teachers to ensure coordination of service needs and communication between professionals. Maintain accurate records of student progress, aligning with existing goals and objectives for each student. Implement Board of Education policies and district philosophy, ensuring a cohesive and effective educational program. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, teachers, and administrators. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Assume other related duties as assigned by the administration, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. A valid Ohio Teaching Certificate and certification established by the State Board of Education. A valid TESOL endorsement is preferred, demonstrating your expertise in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Knowledge of ELL instructional strategies, SIOP, and curriculum and materials for ELL students. Teaching experience is preferred, with a proven track record of success in the classroom. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Demonstrated computer usage skills, with an emphasis on database management and other educational software. Ability to work with minimal supervision, taking initiative and demonstrating independence in your work. Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease. Ability to travel to multiple work locations as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we're looking for candidates with: Experience working with diverse student populations, including ELLs. Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, with a focus on ELLs. Excellent public relations skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.
