About the Role We are looking for a talented and experienced math tutor who can provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring to elementary-level students in math and entry-level algebra. As a tutor with blithequark, you will have the opportunity to work with students in the comfort of their own homes, creating a personalized and supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and confidence. Key Responsibilities Provide in-home, one-on-one tutoring to elementary-level students in math and entry-level algebra, adapting to different learning styles and needs Develop and implement personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed Provide session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session, detailing progress, challenges, and areas for improvement Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours, ensuring that we can continue to provide support and guidance Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs, ensuring that each student receives the best possible support and guidance Essential Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred, with a focus on elementary-level math and entry-level algebra Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred, with a proven track record of success Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement, although a strong understanding of math and education principles is essential Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry, with the ability to accurately and efficiently record student progress and session reports Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session, developing personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style Having a personality that is suited for different types of students, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple students and sessions while maintaining accurate records and reports Strong typing, PC, and recording skills, with the ability to efficiently and accurately complete session reports and other administrative tasks Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must, as well as access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities, with a proven track record of success in supporting students with varying learning styles and challenges Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation, with the ability to develop and implement personalized lesson plans that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and our office team Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality support and guidance to our students Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our tutors, providing opportunities for professional development, training, and mentorship.
