District Sales Manager - St. Louis: Key Responsibilities As a District Sales Manager, you'll play a critical role in delivering on annual sales goals and driving business growth in the St. Louis area. Your primary focus will be on managing the field execution of our bottler at the retail level, ensuring that our products are properly merchandised, displayed, and promoted. Here are the key responsibilities of this role: Strategic Selling and Negotiation: Expert negotiator and strategic selling partner to all stakeholders, including bottlers and retailers, to maximize growth and mutual ownership of execution expectations. Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Lead the monitoring, tracking, analysis, and communication of pre- and post-assessment performance of key retail events to all key stakeholders. Relationship Development: Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales management of bottlers and vertical leaders of retail companies to align with both long-term and short-term business priorities. Sales and Promotion Execution: Develop and execute sales and promotion strategies for all BODYARMOR products throughout all channels of business to achieve both long-term and short-term business objectives. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and resolution to complex scenarios as they arise, and engage with bottler sales teams to coach and optimize sales objectives through strategic leadership. Promotional Activity Execution: Maximize execution of all chain promotional activities at the store level, including communication with chain management, securing and building displays, maintaining proper inventory levels, planogram execution, and point-of-sale distribution. Sales Intern Management: Onboard and manage sales interns in your territory each summer, providing regular coaching and feedback on performance. Collaboration and Communication: Partner with the Regional Marketing Manager to maximize regional opportunities and connect bottler leadership to the value, execution, and ownership of those events. Lead the communication internally of successes, competition trends, deals, product introductions, and opportunities via daily/weekly sales recaps to the BODYARMOR Regional Sales Manager. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Relevant Experience: A Bachelor's degree is required, or relevant experience in sales account management within a CPG industry. Sales Experience: 5+ years of related Sales Account Management experience within a CPG industry is required. Residence: You must reside within the St. Louis, MO area (or within 50 miles). Self-Motivation and Organization: You must be self-motivated, coachable, and highly organized with a strong desire to grow and produce results. Microsoft Office Proficiency: You must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including customer-specific sales reporting and syndicated IRI and/or Nielsen data. Physical Ability: You must be able to lift 40-50lbs and have a valid driver's license to drive long distances. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the required qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Cold Call Sales Experience: Experience in cold call sales and territory management. Proven Track Record: A proven track record of success managing divisional grocery and convenience chains. Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to concisely articulate initiatives and actionable steps to broader teams and distributor partners. Creative Presentation Skills: The ability to develop and present creative and results-oriented presentations to key customers. Team Player: A team player who easily works cross-functionally with other team members to develop and implement sales, corporate, and field marketing initiatives at the customer level.
