About the Team The Analytics group at arenaflex is seeking skilled Data Scientists and Senior Data Scientists to join their team. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will work to discover insights and turn them into actionable recommendations, using data to inform decisions for the entire organization. The Analytics team is critical to all operational areas at arenaflex, and as a Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting challenges, including customer acquisition, fraud and support, marketing, balancing delivery and demand, new city launches, market efficiency, and more. About the Role As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will use your quantitative background to mentor other scientists and dive into large datasets to inform decision-making. You will build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools. You will work with and mentor junior analysts to use more advanced techniques and solve challenges, and produce recommendations using statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate your findings. Key Responsibilities: Use quantitative analysis and presentation of data to understand what drives the business Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools Work with and mentor junior analysts to use more advanced techniques and solve challenges Produce recommendations using statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate findings Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand market dynamics, personal behaviors, and long-term trends Identify and measure levers to help move key metrics and make recommendations Work backward from expertise and sizing issues to ideating solutions Report against goals by identifying key metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress Collaborate with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor logging Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a comparable domain 4+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc. Expertise in SQL queries, ETL, A/B Testing, and statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) with statistical packages, including Matlab, R, SAS, or Python Proficiency in one or more analytics & visualization tools (e.g. Chartio, Looker, Tableau) Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Strong communication and presentation skills Skills and Competencies: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work with large datasets and complex systems Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Career Growth Opportunities: At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
