About the Role: Shaping the Future of Disney's Attractions As a Key Information Researcher in our Attractions Functional Innovation team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing cutting-edge data analysis and machine learning (ML) models that power our attractions and create enchanting experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities: Driving Innovation and Excellence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the creation, implementation, and support of data analysis and ML models that power our attractions and guest experiences. Foster strong relationships with colleagues, providing thought leadership and driving initiatives to successful completion. Engage in research and development, identifying areas where business problems can be creatively solved through the application of ML and data analysis. Lead and work with various specialists and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy scalable ML solutions that create magical experiences for our guests. Drive innovation, proof-of-concepts, and technology investments that advance our AI platforms and capabilities. Manage the functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by the team. Develop standardized processes and collaborate with specialized units to plan, design, and execute large-scale projects in the AI space. Productionize ML algorithms and evaluate their performance on real-world datasets. Coordinate with various teams to achieve goals in improving system performance, adhering to software development best practices. Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Expertise We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need: 2+ years of mastery in Python and predictive modeling experiences, such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, etc. 2+ years of expert-level experience in cloud platforms like AWS and GCP. Proficiency in SDLC, QA cycles, and Object-Oriented Programming Design Patterns. Master-level experience in structured and unstructured data (e.g., images, video, text) and SQL relational and non-relational databases. 2+ years of experience with Workflow or another data workflow management instrument. Experience with version control software, such as GitHub and GitLab, Model Operations, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong systems integration architecture skills, capable of translating new tech into business solutions. A Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Preferred Qualifications: The Nice-to-Haves While not required, having experience in the following areas can give you a competitive edge: Docker, control systems, and Kubernetes. Cloud solutions in GCP or another cloud platform. Atlassian Tools like Jira and Confluence. Agile development methodologies. Automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development. Data visualization and data monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau). Audio and text analysis. A Ph.D. in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
