Key Responsibilities Conduct initial assessments of customer needs and provide personalized support and referrals Evaluate education, training, and experience to properly register applicants in our database Provide instructions and assistance to customers utilizing our Employ Florida system and other computer programs Screen and refer qualified applicants to available job openings and training opportunities Perform job development contacts, provide labor market information, and offer employment counseling as needed Refer eligible individuals to comprehensive assessment and supportive services Process job orders, compile job descriptions, and perform file searches for qualified applicants Maintain timely contact with employers, verify referral results, and document job orders Provide RESEA services, including scheduling appointments, entering data, and following up with participants Assist with initial contact and assessment of trade-affected individuals and refer them to appropriate staff for comprehensive assessment Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of skills, knowledge, and personal qualities. The essential qualifications and requirements for this position include: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with diverse customer groups, including job seekers, employers, and community partners Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Proficiency in using computer programs, including databases and software applications Ability to travel locally and furnish own transportation Must become certified as a Workforce Development professional (Tier 1) within 6 months of appointment Preferred qualifications include experience in customer service, career development, or a related field, as well as knowledge of labor market trends and employment laws.
