Job Overview and Responsibilities We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sleep Therapy Inbound Customer Service Representative to join our Sleep Central Inbound Call Center team. As the first line of contact for our CPAP resupply customers, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, resolving questions and concerns, and empowering patients to manage their sleep therapy effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include new order intake, verifying patient demographics and payer information, and providing basic sleep coaching and technical support for CPAP equipment. Key Responsibilities: Act as a patient advocate to resolve questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner Collect patient information and input data into our e-Intake system with accuracy and attention to detail Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA and JCAHO guidelines Provide education to patients and location employees on CPAP supplies and equipment Manage all aspects of initial intake via high-volume inbound phone calls, ensuring prompt and regular attendance Process related patient paperwork and tickets to ensure timely fulfillment of product orders Use our proprietary e-Intake system to maintain accuracy and quality control throughout initial patient contact and data input Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment, preferably in the medical field or administrative record management Strong customer service background, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer and internet skills, with the ability to navigate Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position) Ability to pass a background investigation, drug screen, and skills tests, including a typing test Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience in the medical field, particularly in sleep therapy or respiratory care Knowledge of billing reimbursement and insurance policies and requirements Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME) Medical terminology and knowledge of medical billing practices Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills, knowledge, and abilities: Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interpret a variety of instructions and communicate with physicians, employees, and patients Helpful, knowledgeable, and polite demeanor, with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service Ability to multi-task, with attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information Physical Demands The physical demands of this role include: Lifting a minimum of 10lbs Prompt and regular attendance, with the ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, or listen for extended periods Close vision to small print on computer screens and paperwork Machines, Equipment, and Technical Abilities You will need to be proficient in the following machines, equipment, and technical abilities: Email transmission and communication Internet navigation and research Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and other software Office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, printers, phones, and computers Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
