Our associates are the backbone of our organization, and we're seeking talented individuals like you to join our team. **Job Summary** As an Experienced Customer Service/Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to drive sales growth. You'll learn about our products using our tools, provide information to customers, and work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates to maintain a safe and clean shopping environment. This role requires a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to drive sales growth * Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project * Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe * Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates to maintain a safe and clean shopping environment * Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner * Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store * Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping experience * Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions **Essential Qualifications** * 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or sales * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong customer focus and ability to provide exceptional customer service * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a home improvement or retail environment * Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment * Experience with sales and customer service software * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays * Bilingual or multilingual skills **Skills and Competencies** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong customer focus and ability to provide exceptional customer service * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our associates grow and develop their careers.
