Job Overview This exciting remote opportunity is part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for a range of duties related to payment processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional support to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met with flexibility, grace, and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions with precision and attention to detail Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions, ensuring seamless communication and resolution Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing, providing expert support and guidance Work member cases/sports assigned, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks, with accuracy and efficiency Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products, ensuring that all transactions are secure and compliant Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all transactions are properly documented Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring that all payments are processed correctly and efficiently Complete daily balancing and department closing, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time Obtain information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests, providing exceptional customer service and support Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring that all transactions are secure and compliant Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, building strong relationships and ensuring that all transactions are completed efficiently Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures, ensuring that all transactions are compliant and secure Deposit check returns, research member back checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm contributors for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers, with accuracy and attention to detail Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in mathematics and communication Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Previous customer/member service experience, with a strong focus on providing exceptional support and resolution Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with a strong understanding of payment processing, item processing, and fund transfers Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with a strong understanding of NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a remote or virtual work environment, with a strong ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on providing support and resolution Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide expert support Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional results Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and precision Ability to adapt to new software and systems, with a strong willingness to learn and grow Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
