About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team as a remote Customer Advocate Phone Specialist. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service, promoting member satisfaction, and upholding the values and mission of blithequark. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and correspondence via telephone, written communication, and/or in-person Identify, research, process, resolve, and respond to customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner Explain various health insurance products, services, and programs to customers, including contract benefits, changes in coverage, eligibility, claims, and provider networks Meet quality, quantity, and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals as defined within the department guidelines Document and record facts regarding inquiries and correspondence by updating blithequark files and systems Demonstrate and maintain current working knowledge of required blithequark systems, procedures, forms, and manuals Perform all other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of external customer service experience Intermediate skill in the use of office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanners, and telephones Detailed-oriented, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software programs Preferred Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (with an additional $1 per hour Bilingual Premium) Previous experience in the health insurance industry Strong knowledge of health insurance products, services, and programs Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Skills and Competencies Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
