As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling daily member telephone calls, directing members to the proper services needed, educating members, problem-solving, and creating linkages to our Medical Management Department for authorization of services. You may also be responsible for assisting providers with eligibility, benefit, and resolution of claims issues. Key Responsibilities: Handle daily member telephone calls, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Direct members to the proper services needed, providing education and support to ensure they receive the best possible care Problem-solve and troubleshoot issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members as needed Create linkages to our Medical Management Department for authorization of services, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care Assist providers with eligibility, benefit, and resolution of claims issues, providing excellent customer service and support Collaborate with internal teams to resolve member issues and improve overall customer satisfaction Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent certification One (1) year of experience in a customer service related role with direct contact with customers via telephone, email, chat, and/or face-to-face Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a physician health care office environment or high-volume call center One (1) year of experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO, and Managed Care functions Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members, providers, and internal teams. You will also need to be highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
