Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include: Answering incoming calls and assisting callers with inquiries related to payment or policy status, new business, renewals, endorsements, inspections, deficiency letters, cancellations, and non-renewals. Performing daily assigned work with a primary emphasis on call center activities, including researching and resolving customer or broker questions and problems. Handling agency licensing tasks, such as registering new brokers, address changes, agency mergers, and other related duties. Following up with other departments to resolve problem files and ensuring timely resolution of customer issues. Inputting data into a desktop database for all incoming calls and maintaining accurate records. Assisting customers at the front desk when necessary and providing exceptional customer service. Distributing faxes and other correspondence to the department and facilitating the processing of evidence of insurance requests as required. Participating in individual and group training designed to improve service and staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices. Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned and contributing to the overall success of the team. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma and basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies. At least 1 year of insurance experience, with coverage knowledge and customer service or call center experience. Excellent communication skills, with a strong emphasis on phone skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers. The ability to perform slightly varied, moderately complex tasks, with occasional decision-making and judgment required. Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and brokers who speak Spanish. Previous experience in a remote or call center environment, with the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively. Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge to resolve customer inquiries and issues.
