With a strong focus on employee development and well-being, we offer a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth, creativity, and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for: * Answering phones in a timely, positive, and welcoming manner, ensuring that patients feel valued and supported throughout their experience with arenaflex. * Greeting, welcoming, and registering patients in a timely fashion, working to minimize wait times and ensure a seamless experience. * Managing incoming phone calls, emails, messages, verification of benefits, and referrals to completion, providing accurate and timely information to patients and families. * Preparing for upcoming visits, including reviewing next-day activities, sending visit reminders, documenting preparations, completing forms, and flagging charts as necessary. * Performing appointing functions with accuracy and precision, including scheduling appointments, managing cancellations, re-schedules, visit cycles, and wait lists. * Identifying patient-specific needs and preferences, including age-specific and information or communication needs prior to visit. * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including timely input of incoming scans, documents, or test results. * Performing other duties as assigned, including contributing to quality improvement initiatives and participating in ongoing training and development programs. **Essential Qualifications and Experience** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * A high school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 2 years of experience as a receptionist highly preferred, preferably in a medical practice or ambulatory environment. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and clinical personnel. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Ability to work with electronic medical records, practice management systems, scheduling systems, and other related E-Systems. * Strong computer skills and knowledge of the insurance industry highly desired. * Bilingual in English and Spanish (or other secondary language) preferred. **Preferred Qualifications and Experience** While not required, the following qualifications and experience would be highly beneficial: * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. * Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. * Familiarity with electronic medical records and practice management systems. * Experience working with patients with diverse backgrounds and needs. * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. **Work Environment and Physical Requirements** As a Customer Service Representative, you'll work in a medical office, procedure/exam room, and laboratory environment, which may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards, or toxic substances.
