Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Agent, your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable. Your responsibilities will include: Greeting customers and guiding them through the ticketing and baggage check-in process as a Ticket Agent. Using computers to sell, print, and reissue tickets, as well as managing the check-in process to ensure customers have the proper travel documentation. Tagging baggage and performing lifting tasks that involve transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts. Assisting customers with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding as a Gate Agent. Using computers to assist customers with seat availability, making gate announcements regarding the boarding process, flight status, checking and handling baggage, managing, and initiating the boarding process. Operating jet ways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lift, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors. Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Work Schedule and Environment As a Customer Service Agent, you will be scheduled to work a shift between 20 to 40 hours per week, which may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be required to work consistently in public areas and be able to understand and respond to a variety of questions about travel information. Additionally, you may be responsible for escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport. This position requires standing for long periods of time and frequently lifting bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds. Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Embracing diverse people, thinking, and styles. Consistently making safety and security, of self and others, the priority. High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be proficient in English and Spanish. Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation. Possessing basic computer skills. Must successfully pass a Customer Service Assessment. Being willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Being authorized to work in the US. Preferred Qualifications While there are no specific preferred qualifications for this role, any additional skills or experience that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service and work effectively in a fast-paced airport environment will be considered an asset.
