About the Position As a Customer Service Advocate at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch support to our members, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues on the first call. Key Responsibilities Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries and issues on the first call by identifying the topic and type of assistance needed, ensuring that our members receive timely and effective support. Guide and educate customers about consumer-driven health care topics, including benefit plan options, to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs. Initiate proactive outreach to members, including welcoming new members and addressing gaps in care, to provide personalized support and enhance their overall experience. Contact care providers on behalf of customers to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with specialists, ensuring seamless coordination of care. Assist customers in navigating blithequark websites and online resources, including myuhc.com, to help them access the information and tools they need to manage their health care effectively. Essential Qualifications High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a foundation in education and a commitment to personal growth. Must be 18 years of age or older, with a minimum of 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a health care or insurance environment. Ability to work the hours of 11:35 am - 8:05 pm CST from Monday - Friday, including occasional overtime, to ensure that our members receive support during peak hours. Preferred Qualifications Sales or account management experience, with a proven track record of building strong relationships and driving results. Experience in a health care or insurance environment, including familiarity with medical terminology and health plan documents, to provide expert guidance and support to our members. Background in social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, or health promotion, demonstrating a passion for health care and a commitment to delivering exceptional support. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to build strong relationships with our members and provide personalized support. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills , with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide effective solutions.
