Job Overview The Customer Sales Executive (CSE) will be responsible for profitably growing our Salty Snacks business with assigned customers in the South East region, including major retailers and distributors. The successful candidate will develop and execute business plans, build strong relationships with customers, and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements to achieve our sales and market share objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills, who can drive business growth and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with customers to optimize revenue, develop joint business plans, and ensure retail execution to achieve sales targets and market share growth. Broker management within the region to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Achieve net sales, market share, trade spend, waste, sell-through, and sales activity margin targets for assigned customers through effective planning, analysis, and negotiation. Utilize blithequark's and customers' analytical tools and processes to drive profitable and predictable sales results. Build and maintain sales plans in a trading and forecast management system to ensure accurate forecasting and planning. Manage trade fund budgets, clear deductions, and process invoices to ensure efficient use of trade funds. Conduct regular business reviews with the Category Management team to monitor sales performance, identify opportunities, and adjust strategies as needed. Lead everyday line review processes with customer buying teams to negotiate and sell our strategy in support of key innovation and strategic growth platforms. Monitor and control customer expenses, including waste, supply chain costs, and unauthorized deductions, to achieve trade rate efficiency. Provide category analysis, consumer insights, and category tools to customers, in partnership with Category Management and Shopper Insights teams. Achieve appropriate levels of account penetration and manage cross-functional partnerships with Sales Planning, Category Management, Revenue Management, Supply Chain, and other teams. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or sales. At least 5-7 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the confectionery or snack food industry. Proven experience and strong understanding of channel dynamics, relationships, and category management practices. Past work experience with serving major clients is highly desirable. Strong understanding of P&L dynamics, industry Category Management processes, and systems (POS, HH Panel, etc.). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to interpret data and determine key actions in response. Exceptional leadership, presentation, strategy development, communication, and influencing skills. Proven record of sales success, including exceeding sales targets and strategic alignment with retailers. Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Experience working with major retailers and distributors in the South East region. Knowledge of blithequark's products, systems, and processes. Certifications in sales, marketing, or category management (e.g., CPM, CPSM). Fluency in multiple languages.
