Welcome to blithequark: A Safe and Welcoming Virtual World blithequark is a pioneering online platform that offers a safe, virtual world and welcoming community where members can access unlimited peer-based help to learn life-changing mental health tools. Our community is free to join and can be accessed through various devices, including VR, desktop computers, and mobile devices. With over 200 events available each week, our members can engage in group meetings led by certified guides on a wide range of topics, from serious issues like anxiety and depression to more informal and social-focused events, as well as mindfulness and meditation sessions. Join Our Team: Community Moderator and Customer Support Specialist We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Community Team at blithequark as a Community Moderator and Customer Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and positive engagement of our community members within our online application. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer support through Zendesk to enhance the overall user experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering a supportive environment, addressing concerns, and providing assistance to our community members. Key Responsibilities: Community Moderation: Monitor user interactions within the application to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Enforce community guidelines and policies to maintain a positive atmosphere. Engage with community members, address concerns, and provide assistance when needed. Welcome and greet new users, fostering a sense of belonging and community. Customer Support: Respond to user inquiries and support requests via Zendesk in a timely and professional manner. Troubleshoot and resolve user issues effectively, demonstrating empathy and understanding. Collaborate with the technical team to escalate and resolve complex issues. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of user interactions and support requests. Provide insights and feedback to improve community engagement and user satisfaction. Essential Qualifications: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. Empathetic and patient, with the ability to handle sensitive situations and provide support to community members. Familiarity with mental health topics and a commitment to promoting a supportive environment. Previous experience in community moderation and/or customer support is preferred, with a strong understanding of online community dynamics and customer support principles. Ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms, with a willingness to learn and grow with our team. Must have previous experience using Zendesk or similar customer support software. Academic or professional background in psychology or mental health, with a Bachelor's degree in psychology preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in online communities, with a strong understanding of community engagement and user experience. Knowledge of mental health resources and support services, with the ability to provide referrals and connections to community members. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. Experience with customer support software and ticketing systems, with the ability to manage and prioritize support requests.
