About the Role As a member of our Borrower Success Team at blithequark, you will play a vital role in helping student loan borrowers navigate our tools and enroll in federal forgiveness and repayment programs. With comprehensive training and hands-on experience, you will quickly become an expert in the student loan landscape, serving as the first point of contact for our users. This remote, full-time contractor role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team for up to 5 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent hiring based on performance and company needs. Key Responsibilities Understanding blithequark's product offerings and how they address borrowers' needs, ensuring you can effectively communicate the value of our services to our users. Engaging with borrowers via email and live chat, providing empathetic and clear support to help them achieve their financial goals. Reviewing and submitting applications for federal loan programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process. Proactively suggesting and implementing ideas and automations that can help scale the team, contributing to the growth and development of our Borrower Success Team. Collaborating with the product, design, and engineering teams to bring user feedback to life, creating new features and offerings that meet the evolving needs of our borrowers. Working closely with the Borrower Success Team to achieve team and company growth goals, aligning with our social mission to make a positive impact on the lives of our users. Recommended Experience and Qualifications We are seeking teammates with at least one year of relevant work experience, preferably in start-ups, finance (including financial aid or fintech), government programs, or customer support. A passion for applying your talents in a fast-paced startup environment to tackle a major social issue is essential. Essential Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment. You should be highly organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. A strong understanding of the student loan landscape and federal forgiveness and repayment programs is desirable, although not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
