About the Role We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to join our team in Iselin, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer the highest pay rates among substitute providers, with up to $190 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to excel in the classroom and make a positive impact on the lives of your students. Key Responsibilities: Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and achievement Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced educational setting Collaborate with other teachers and staff to achieve school goals and objectives Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor A NJ Substitute Credential A background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
