About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Substitute Teacher to join our team in Riverdale, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer the highest pay rates among substitute providers, with up to $190 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to excel in the classroom and make a positive impact on the lives of your students. Key Responsibilities Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of your students Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced educational setting Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor A NJ Substitute Credential A background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
