You'll work alongside professional engineers and designers, gaining exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection and so much more. As a Junior Construction Estimator, you will assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. You will help compile and submit bids for new projects, ensuring all required documentation and pricing information is accurate and complete. You will analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements. Additionally, you will communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information. You will enter and maintain project data in estimating software and databases, conduct site visits to gather information and verify project conditions, and prepare and present reports on cost estimates, project budgets, and other relevant data to senior estimators and project managers. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field. • 0-2 years of estimating experience. • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail. Nice-to-haves • Vertical construction experience. • CM/GC Contract experience. • Electrical and/or Transit Systems estimating experience.
