Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document SQL Database Management systems software Work independently and as part of a core group of Systems Programmers/Specialists providing 24x7x365 support on mission critical systems software Skills Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Administration Experience in Database Administration on Windows environment Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, C#, Java, JavaScript, BASH, Perl, or Python etc Experience with Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting, Installing, and Configuration of Databases Experience with Database Clusters, Database Migrations, Database Backup, Restore and Disaster Recovery Experience with any other RDBMS Software such as MySQL, Sybase, Db2, Oracle, etc Experience in Database Administration on Linux or Unix environments Experience in Cloud Computing Technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP Experience in Azure DevOps Services Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC), and Project Management Principles Company Overview The Franchise Tax Board is responsible for administering two of California's major tax programs: personal income tax and corporation tax.
