As an Academic Tutor/Behavioral Coach with our organization, you'll have the opportunity to work with students of all ages, providing one-on-one support and guidance in areas such as academic support, social and emotional skills, and executive functioning skills. Key Responsibilities Provide direct coaching and tutoring support to students on a one-on-one basis, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Prepare engaging lessons and materials in advance of each coaching session, ensuring that you're equipped to address the specific challenges and goals of each student. Maintain regular communication with families regarding individual sessions, schedules, and student progress, keeping them informed and involved throughout the coaching process. Track and update client progress in our goal-tracking system, using data to inform your coaching strategies and drive student success. Submit worked hours and maintain ongoing availability in our online management platform, TutorCruncher, to ensure seamless coordination and scheduling. Provide timely updates on client goal progress in our Goals Portal, reflecting your commitment to transparency and collaboration. Essential Qualifications To succeed as an Academic Tutor/Behavioral Coach with Club Xcite, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as education, psychology, social work, or counseling. A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents who face behavioral, social, or emotional challenges. Availability to work at least 3 weekdays from 3 pm to 7 pm, with flexibility to accommodate morning and weekend hours as needed. Strong personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple clients. Familiarity with online management platforms, including TutorCruncher and Goals Portal. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues across multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.). A commitment to working independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Reliable transportation and availability during weekdays. A valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion, which is required before providing client services. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications can enhance your application: Experience working with students with diverse learning needs or exceptional abilities. Knowledge of evidence-based coaching or tutoring methodologies. Previous experience with online coaching or tutoring platforms. A background in special education, counseling, or a related field.
