Job Title: Application Engineer – (Open to Senior Level) Department: Engineering Location: Remote Position Type: Full Time Reporting to: Sr Manager, Application Engineering About the Role We are hiring an Application Engineer with direct experience in low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution products. The role supports OEMs, panel builders, utilities, and switchgear manufacturers by providing technical guidance on product selection, application design, and system integration. This position requires proven hands-on knowledge of vacuum interrupters, MCCB/MCB circuit breakers, RCD/GFCI breakers, DC protection devices, contactors, ATS systems, reclosers, and thermal overloads. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical application support for LV/MV circuit breakers, vacuum interrupters, contactors, and switchgear components. • Guide customers through proper product selection, coordination, and protection design. • Support OEM, utility, panel builder, and switchgear engineering teams with integration and troubleshooting. • Interpret and apply UL489, UL508, IEC 60947, IEEE C37, and related standards. • Lead application testing and customer validation activities. • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales on new product opportunities. • Prepare technical documentation including application notes, data sheets, and customer reports. Required Experience Candidates must have direct experience with all of the following: • Vacuum interrupters • MCCB/MCB circuit breakers • RCD/GFCI breakers • DC circuit protection • ATS / switch disconnectors • IEC contactors / DP contactors • Thermal overload relays • LV or MV switchgear applications Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • 5+ years of application engineering in LV/MV power distribution or switchgear. • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, protection curves, and coordination studies. • Understanding of arc interruption, trip unit behavior, and electromechanical protection mechanisms. • Strong communication skills for direct support of OEM and engineering customers.
