Key Responsibilities As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including: Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database. Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information, and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution. Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database. Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications. Following data program security practices and procedures at all times to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of our data. Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily. Performing other varied clerical duties, such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading, as required. Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with relevant regulations. Performing other duties as assigned by management. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful as a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 6 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Proficiency in general computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet. A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute. Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in your work. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey necessary information accurately, listen effectively, and ask questions where clarification is needed. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. In addition to these essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with: Experience working in a medical office or similar environment. Knowledge of multiple software programs and applications. A proven track record of delivering high-quality work and meeting productivity standards.
