To learn more about Dallas Pets Alive! visit As our Animals in Need Email Writer, you’ll play an important role in that you will be responsible for writing and sending out the bi-weekly animals in need email that gets sent to our approved foster families highlighting featured pets in need and current events affecting animal rescue. Team: Rescue Location Remote/Virtual Time Commitment 2-3 Hours/week. Must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of volunteer service. Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. Reports to: Rescue Director Works with: Rescue team, Foster team, and Marketing team Position Responsibilities: • Creating intriguing content that will promote shelter pets in need of fosters • Ensuring emails are sent in a timely manner and reaches our growing audience • Ensuring the animals being promoted are approved by DPA and still in need of rescue Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position: • Must have HS diploma or higher degree of education • Must have access to Mailchimp at least twice per week • Intermediate computer skills • Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple priorities • Must be at least 18 years of age • Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications • Fluency in English; bilingual a plus! • Ability to operate a computer or mobile device • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
