US Military Skillbridge Internship (Software Engineer)_Arlington, VA

They are seeking a Skillbridge Intern in Software Engineering to support technology projects from inception to development, providing opportunities for practical application of military training in the civilian technical world. Responsibilities Develop and implement technical solutions on an aggressive schedule across the US Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD) Create cloud-native web applications, advanced data analysis tools, and new machine learning capabilities Skills MUST be willing to get the TS/SCI CI Poly, if you do not already have one Will consider Secret clearances and above Candidates with a completed Bachelor of Science degree or candidates who are close to completion of a BS degree and/or a coding Bootcamp A completed Associates degree may also be considered Technical degrees are preferred (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Information Systems, etc.) Candidates with three to six months (or more) of technical experience usually thrive best in our program Experience using Data Science, Software Development, DevOps, Cloud Computing, or other related skills 3+ years of professional experience needed for MOST of our opportunities Proficient in at least ONE Object-Oriented language like Java, Python, C# or C++ - NOT All, just ONE OO language Experience with at least ONE MVC framework, perhaps including Spring, Django, Flask or Rails Experience with at least ONE relational database, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or sqlite3 Experience working with Linux distributions like Ubuntu, RedHat, or CentOS Working knowledge of web application basics like HTTP, HTML, REST, CSS, and JavaScript Proficient in at least one scripting language like Python or Perl Familiar with web server configuration on NGINX, Apache, or similar Familiar with a JavaScript framework like Backbone, Angular, Ember or Vue.js Familiar with Bootstrap and Less Experience with NoSQL storage like ElasticSearch, Accumulo, MongoDB, HBase is a plus Benefits Great Medical 401K Competitive Salary Generous Time Off Company Overview Black Cape offers machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions to help government and commercial clients.
