Job Summary As a Remote Call Center Agent, you will play a critical role in our fundraising efforts, using your exceptional communication and persuasion skills to influence existing and potential donors to support our causes. You will work on an automated dialer, making outbound fundraising calls, answering incoming calls, and using scripts to provide information about candidates or causes. Your success will be supported by our comprehensive two-week paid training program, which will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role. Key Responsibilities Make outbound fundraising calls to existing and potential donors using an automated dialer Answer incoming calls from prospective customers and respond to their inquiries Use scripts to provide information about candidates or causes, highlighting their mission, goals, and impact Record donors' personal information accurately in our computer system Correctly code calls and update donor records Work with Coaches on our online calling platform to increase success and achieve performance goals Participate in ongoing training and coaching to improve skills and performance Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including telesales, telephone fundraising, and donor engagement 1 year of experience in fundraising, preferably in a call center or telesales environment Experience with inbound and outbound calls, including fundraising, sustainer calls, polling calls, survey calls, membership calls, outreach calls, and proxy calls Excellent communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence donors and supporters Friendliness, patience, and a cool-tempered approach to dealing with aggressiveness and complaints Political knowledge and inclination, with an understanding of progressive democratic candidates and causes Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel in this role, you will need: Strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional persuasion and negotiation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits We are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
