Traditional Media Buyer/Planner (Contract)
Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Traditional Media Buyer / Planner to support our Strategy & Planning team with both pre-planning research and hands-on execution of traditional media buys. This contractor will help inform media recommendations and manage the end-to-end execution of offline media placements. This role is ideal for someone who understands the why behind traditional media decisions and can also execute buys independently - from negotiation through reporting. Responsibilities: Pre-Planning & Research Support • Conduct research to support media planning, including: Competitive media landscape analysis Audience behavior and media consumption insights Market-level considerations and opportunities Media Buying & Execution Negotiate and execute traditional media buys (e.g., print, OOH, radio, other offline channels as applicable) Coordinate with publishers to gather and deliver all required assets and specs for launch Manage timelines and ensure on-time, accurate campaign launches Monitor live buys and proactively flag performance or delivery issues Provide optimization recommendations when applicable Compile post-launch and wrap-up reporting, including performance insights and learnings Required Experience: Proven experience executing traditional media/direct buys (not just planning) Experience supporting pre-planning research for media campaigns Strong negotiation skills with publishers and media vendors Comfortable managing campaigns from IO through launch and reporting Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams Nice to Have: Familiarity with multi-market or regional buys Agency experience working with strategy or planning teams Engagement Details: Contract / freelance role Hourly or project-based (open to discussion) Remote Ongoing or as-needed support based on campaign needs Apply tot his job
