A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience to provide expert care in a specialized cardiac unit. This contract position is based in Mooresville, NC, supporting a well-equipped facility renowned for its comprehensive cardiac services and patient-centered approach. Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse cardiac conditions including chest pain, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and post-cardiac catheterization recovery. • Monitor and operate advanced cardiac equipment such as Life Pak, Zoll defibrillators, and Masimo monitors in a 24-bed telemetry unit. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care plans using the Cerner electronic health record system. • Occasionally support related units such as Intermediate Care (IMCU), Progressive Care (NPCU), and Surgical departments as needed. • Maintain professional licensure and certifications, including current BLS and ACLS. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience with proficiency in Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment. • Prefer experience with Cerner EHR system. • Associate degree in Nursing required. • Demonstrated ability to care for a varied cardiac patient population from young adults to elderly patients. • Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented and family-focused approach. Schedule: • Approximately 36 guaranteed hours per week • Shift options: PM or AM • Every other weekend required • No on-call responsibilities Additional Details: This contract role supports a renowned hospital with specialized centers including a Brain and Cancer Center, Heart and Lung Centers, Orthopedics, and a Level 3 NICU.
