Otis is looking for a Supply Chain Development Manager to lead our strategic effort to diversify our supply base across all product lines for long-term sustainability. This important role can be based in either Bloomfield, CT, or Farmington, CT, with a hybrid work schedule that requires being in the office at least twice a week. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of these programs, guiding cross-functional teams from start to finish. You will delegate tasks across different functions, keep the overall schedule on track, and manage risks effectively. With these projects being in the spotlight, you'll provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders, making your contributions crucial to our organization. Responsibilities • Engage with regional category managers to ensure we achieve our material productivity targets • Take charge of designated projects and achieve the annual objectives • Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables • Establish the strategy roadmap for various product lines with other supply chain team members • Manage a cross-functional team of supply chain, engineering, quality, purchasing, testing, and others • Proactively monitor progress on actions to ensure project safe launch • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks • Produce program reports for management/stakeholders to sustain alignment • Ensure projects have proper resources in place to deliver on time • Perform analysis based on given data and make plans to contribute to overall supplier risk mitigation for NAA region Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field along with 5+ years of experience. Alternatively, a master's degree in one of these areas with 3+ years of experience is also acceptable • Experience in a program management environment, whether directly or indirectly, is preferred • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) • Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and leading programs • Possess the drive and initiative to finalize tasks while maintaining awareness of deadlines • Demonstrate the ability to take charge and act independently without direct supervision • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • General understanding of the procurement process • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse functions and all levels of management • Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier visits and to Florence, SC • Additional language: Given the nature of the position, Otis Elevator does not support sponsorship, e.g. H-1B or TN petitions/applications, for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
