About the Role As our ideal candidate, you'll bring a strong background in vendor management practices, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to driving cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality vendor partnerships. Your primary focus will be on ensuring effective vendor selection, negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation. This role demands strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to achieve organizational goals efficiently. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for technology-related goods and services in alignment with the organization's objectives and budgetary requirements. Identify, evaluate, and select technology vendors and suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and other relevant criteria. Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and delivery terms while mitigating risks. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and other departments, to understand technology needs and requirements. Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and service levels. Analyze market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices to recommend improvements in procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies in all procurement activities. Assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor partnerships, including security, compliance, and operational risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain or vendor services. Develop and maintain procurement budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular reports and analysis to management. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in vendor management processes. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present key procurement metrics and insights to stakeholders. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience in technology procurement, vendor management, and large project/program management, preferably in a leadership role. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in data-driven decision-making. Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. In-depth knowledge of technology trends, market dynamics, and procurement best practices. Proficiency in procurement software/tools and MS Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the competition, you'll ideally have: Familiarity with vendor management software or tools. Certification in procurement or vendor management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPM). Experience working in a global and diversely international team.
