The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of all North Carolinians. The Staff Development Specialist I will develop and conduct training for potential Business Enterprises operators and provide ongoing skill-building training for licensed operators throughout the state. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and conduct initial training for potential Business Enterprises (BE) operators Provide ongoing skill-building training for licensed operators throughout the state Develop training curricula and related materials Evaluate the training curriculum and format for effectiveness Respond to requests to assist individual operators in identified problem areas Plan, coordinate, and conduct in-service training for Division staff in the BE Program Skills Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution One year of experience in a progressive training or teaching role One year of experience in a human service, counseling, or training program in the subject matter specified An equivalent combination of education and experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to effectively deliver competency‑based training Skilled in providing food‑service instruction Benefits Health insurance options Standard and supplemental retirement plans NCFlex program (numerous high-quality, low-cost benefits on a pre-tax basis) Paid vacation Sick leave Community service leave Paid parental leave Company Overview The N.C.
