Staff Accountant-SaaS

We are currently filling the following contract position with our client. Staff Accountant We are seeking a Staff Accountant with 5+ years of experience in public or corporate accounting to join our fast-paced SaaS environment. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring accurate financial operations, compliance with GAAP, and supporting scalable growth. The ideal candidate brings strong NetSuite expertise, advanced Excel skills, and a collaborative mindset, with experience in SaaS revenue recognition and billing as a plus. Responsibilities • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP. • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and related reconciliations. • Drive SaaS revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606. • Support billing operations and integration between NetSuite and Zuora (if applicable). • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and audit schedules. • Partner with external auditors for audit preparation and support. • Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and Revenue teams to streamline financial processes. • Identify and implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications • 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate accounting. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred. • Expertise in NetSuite (required). • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, large data sets). • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) experience preferred. • Experience in SaaS and/or with Zuora Billing a plus. • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work cross-functionally. • Team-oriented with an approachable, collaborative personality.
