Responsibilities Position Summary: The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for helping drive Aesculap profitability through the application of consistent pricing integrity solutions. Key accountabilities will include building strong business relationships with both the functional and sales teams, and the ability to develop and manage varying levels of customer pricing solutions. The role requires a self-learner that comprehends basic pricing methodologies, has a high level of integrity and desire for positive change. Principal Duties Responsibilities: • Oversee the master product list price maintenance process • Construct request for proposal (RFP) and contract renewal pricing models that provide impactful solutions for Aesculap • Manage price levers that include our product family standard matrixes and default contracts • Responsible for maintaining/reporting an acceptable level of order-point contract price discounting instances • Maintain and leverage our competitive intelligence database • Evaluate and develop GPO contract price calculators • Create customer P&L analysis, provide insight and suggestions for driving growth and profitability • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Associate Director of Contracting & Pricing, Vice Presidents of Sales & Marketing and/or National Sales Directors • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual • Must embody the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values • Other duties may be assigned Secondary or peripheral job functions: • Must be able to travel by car and occasionally work evenings and weekends • Multitasking and good project management skills required • Medium to difficult financial comparisons, and analysis • Ability to adapt to frequently changing situations • Effectively manages time to perform a variety of tasks concurrently in a fast paced environment • Critical thinking and analytical ability necessary • Must have motivation, and the ability to manage workload • Effective communication skills- both written and oral • Must be detailed oriented, accurate and thorough • SAP experience and BW highly desirable • Must be able to work with all levels of employees • Must have the ability to analyze data against business needs Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Qualifications Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc Required: • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in accounting or finance. • Master Degree preferred. • Minimum 3+ years of work experience in related field • Minimum 2 years’ experience in pricing activities • Knowledge of PC network applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access), SAP knowledge would be helpful • Experience in health care industry preferred • Experience in contracting, bidding, financial model building and accounting practices preferred Expertise: Knowledge & Skills Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
