Sourcing Analyst (Entry level Data Analyst)

Sourcing Analyst Kauffman Engineering, LLC., with locations throughout Mexico and the USA, has an immediate remote opportunity for a Sourcing Analyst. Company Summary Kauffman Engineering, LLC, a privately held, American company is well established since its beginning in 1973. We have grown from a small wiring harness operation into a multi-million dollar company with a highly respected role as a worldwide supplier of electrical harnesses, lead wires, jumper wires, twisted pair wires, cable assemblies, molded plugs, thermoform plastics, and populated circuit boards. Job Summary: The Sourcing Analyst will focus primarily on extracting, cleaning, and analyzing operational data from ERP systems and Power BI. The role requires strong technical skills in Power Query and Excel to support reporting, dashboard building, and supply chain team decision-making. Deep supply chain experience is not required; a strong ability to work with large datasets efficiently is critical. Key Responsibilities: · Efficiently extract and transform large datasets from ERP systems and Power BI using Power Query and Excel. • Build, automate, and maintain data models and dashboards that support operational reporting (e.g., inventory levels, supplier delivery schedules, order fulfillment). • Perform data cleaning, normalization, and basic trend analysis. • Support the supply chain team by preparing recurring and ad hoc reports based on data-driven requests. • Identify data inconsistencies and partner with teams to improve data quality. • Help streamline and automate manual reporting processes to improve operational efficiency. • Communicate findings clearly to non-technical team members. Required Qualifications: Experience/ knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · 1–3 years of experience working with data analysis, reporting, or operations support. • Strong proficiency in Power Query and Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query Editor, data connections). • Experience pulling data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar). • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Good communication skills to translate technical findings into business language. • Exposure to Power BI report building. • Basic knowledge of supply chain processes (inventory management, procurement, logistics). • Familiarity with SQL or database query writing (optional). Educational qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Work Environment: • Remote work from home. • Travel within US and Mexico (< 25%) • Ideal region is CST or EST time zones. • Located within 60 miles of a regional airport.
